Finale spoilers: Simon's identity

The park announcer reveals that he is Simon and Tolie's father, saying Eliot was meant to bring her home. The earlier ARG connects Simon to Eliot through his creative work and Debbie's depiction of a young Simon.

What Simon wants from Eliot

Simon's stated purpose is for Eliot to bring Tolie home. When Eliot resists, Simon uses the park's systems against him, turning that demand into a confrontation. The scene establishes what Simon wants Eliot to do, but a complete explanation for every stage of Simon's motives goes beyond that explicit reveal.

Explicit chronology and fan interpretations

The earlier ARG explicitly supplies Simon's family relationships and his writing and programming roles. The full-game finale explicitly supplies the Simon–Tolie father reveal. Keep those statements attached to their respective stories when tracing his chronology, rather than treating the earlier ARG account as a complete explanation of the finale.

Avoid treating Sarah and Tolie as interchangeable simply because Simon is identified as a father in each story. Likewise, the connection between young Simon and Eliot's design does not, by itself, establish that Eliot is literally Simon. Reincarnation theories, exact matches between mascots and humans, and explanations covering every stage of Simon's motives remain interpretations unless a scene states them outright.
